Sodium and Heart Health

Low Sodium Foods

Consuming excess sodium, especially when accompanied by inadequate potassium intake, can lead to high blood pressure, which is a risk factor for stroke, coronary heart disease, and kidney disease. At Campbell Soup Company, we know how important it is to help people eat healthier.

As an industry leader, we are proud to offer people a wide variety of reduced-sodium choices, including certain Campbell´s® soups, Prego® sauces, V8® beverages and Pepperidge Farm® breads. In addition, Campbell offers many products that are certified by the American Heart Association, displaying the Heart-Check mark that identifies products that meet the criteria for a heart-healthy food as part of an overall sensible eating pattern. Reducing sodium in the diet doesn't have to mean giving up great-tasting foods. That's why we worked closely with our chefs and product development teams and found a lower-sodium natural sea salt that we could add to products to help us reduce sodium without compromising the taste people love and expect from their favorite foods.

Please note that the Heart-Check Food Certification does not apply to recipes or information reached through links unless expressly stated.
